Almost went bankrupt
Samsung almost went bankrupt in the 1997 Asian financial crisis. the company had to layoff 24,000 people almost 1/3 of its total workforce. and slash capital spending to survive. many manufacturing jobs were moved to a lower wage countries like China, Mexico and Brazil but they survived it all and went on to become one of the biggest companies in the entire world.

Burned Smartphones worth $50 million
in 1995 when Chairman Byung-chul lee was so upset over the terrible quality of the companies for a cellphone. he wanted to impress the importance of quality manufacturing on his employees at a factory in goomy. so he had the factories entire inventory of phones assembled into a huge pile as he burned the entire inventory. which was over 50 million dollars worth. he then forced factory workers to wear headbands that read "quality first"

Tim cook didn't want to sue samsung. it was steve jobs
following the launch of the Galaxy S in 2010. both Steve Jobs and Tim Cook complained to Samsung executives regarding the smartphones look. Apple expected it to modify its design but when Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab in 2011 which had two similarities with the iPad. Apple filed a lawsuit against them. but Tim Cook didn't want to sue Samsung over smartphone patents. he was opposed to it due to Samsung's vital role in supplying components for Apple's key mobile products, such as the iPad and iPhone. Steve Jobs was the one that really wanted to go after Samsung in the curves.

The Second android smartphone
Samsung didn't make the very first Google Android phone that would be HTC g1. but it was quick to follow a few months later with his first Android model the galaxy I 7500. the clunky black phone introduced in 2009 had a 3.2 inch touch screen and a 5 megapixel camera. it evolved into the galaxy as the next year which quickly became the most popular Android series out there.
